opinions on dc xl 12?

Im a person that likes to try new things so ive been wondering about dc for a while now. Ive been interested in the dc xl 12" sub. How are these subs in sq wise? I know it all depends on the enclosure but im just talking about overall sound. Will it be able to keep up or be even louder than my 12" aq hdc4?

yes it will,very good sq one of the best daily woofers on the market,put one in a boat 2 months ago with a dc 2.0 and the guy called me the next monday telling me he got kicked off the lake cuz his system was too loud.great ground pounder woofers .

I have owned 2 12" DC XL 12's. I was doing a 150+ db out of my trunk with them. They are by far my favorite sub I have ever owned. I wouldn't say they are the best sounding sub I have ever owned but they don't sound bad. They get loud easily in the right box.

how much wattage were you giving them? and what tuning?

I did a 148.XX with a Stetsom 7k (wasn't seeing anywhere near rated, I am guessing was seeing 3-4k tops out of the amp), i switched to a Hifonics Sampson and did a 150.7.

Thats impressive... I remember watching a video with someone having 2 12" dc xl's with a stetsom amp on youtube. Im not sure if its you or not. The box was half way inside the car from the trunk. lol

keep the hdc4 it's going to be louder As long as your tuned above 35..
