Ported Box Calculations

The sub is a 13w6v2 and I am attempting to determine the optimum ported box size.

I am getting my info from: The Subwoofer DIY Page - Ported Systems: Box Calculations

net box volume= 20*Qts^3.3*Vas

so

20*0.434^3.3*111.6 = 142.03 liters

and

1 liters = 0.0353 cubic feet

The math says that ''optimum" net ported box size is 5.01 cuft

does this sound right? (JL's recommended size is 1.875 ft3 net.)

It's probably more around 2.5-3 cubes for what the net should be...if you have winisd you can plugin all the specs and from there you can test out **** until you get some good results

Ok thanks for the help Ill try it out, i downloaded it recently but have not gotten a chance to use it yet.

those formulas are poo..

I'll work a formula tomorrow to help you out but from experience if you want it to sound great I'd recommend 1.5 tuned to 28 with 30in^2 or port area..
