I was keeping it no higher than 31-32v ac measured while playing heavy rock. AC rail should be about 39vac to be at rating assuming 2ohm reactive. Anyways.. i was below that and still thermal protect all the time. And here is what i have- And my favorite pick- This is a 1500w Lanzar amp next to a 1,600w Taramp's Power Supply- We use this power supply a lot to test all kinds of amplifiers along with a bank of batteries.

All I know is my opti 250x4 is a monster. I've had it for 5+ years and never any problems. I've had DC 175.4 and Rockford 800x4 big slab amp and the opti was louder and cleaner direct swap.
