Well then that explains why they are so cheap in cost then..

500x2 is rated for 1500w at 2ohm..

I was keeping it no higher than 31-32v ac measured while playing heavy rock.

AC rail should be about 39vac to be at rating assuming 2ohm reactive.

Anyways.. i was below that and still thermal protect all the time.

Zed designed I should say. From what I was told. Not built.

All I know is my opti 250x4 is a monster. I've had it for 5+ years and never any problems. I've had DC 175.4 and Rockford 800x4 big slab amp and the opti was louder and cleaner direct swap.

That's because out of the 3 you tried.. the one that does the most power, you like the best..

If you are on a tight budget look at the Hifonics Brutus line of amps

They Are not bad for the money and make rated power in most of the tests
