Opinions on Amps

I have a two 12' loudspeakers that produces 600RMS and 12000watts I'm planning on either going with a Lanzar Opti 700X2 or a Lanzar 900x2http://www.lanzar.com/sku/OPTI900X2/Optidrive-2-Channel-Competition-Class-Mosfet-Amplifier or do you have any suggestions?

They are good amplifiers but they aren't very efficient you can get something a lot more efficient for the same price look into the Lanzar optidrive 1400.1

I love my opti 250x4.... I'm sellin my powerbass 1200.2 so I can buy a lanzar 700x2. ZED built amps. They are awesome!

and a beast

25" x 12" x 3"

300 amp fuse AFAIK

takes juice

that's crazy for mids and highs

i had the opti 250/2 and it was a beast

Yea.. I actually bought into the whole Lanzar Opti game few years ago..

I still have a Opti 500x2 that i'll never use again..

It's never been repaired but they are not designed to get the power out of them they are rated for.

I wired up 4 mids to them, 2ohm stereo per channel, re-tuned the gain for mid use.. ran it like that for a couple months and couldnt take it any longer..

The amplifier kept overheating and going into protect.. Got tired of having to shut stereo off for 10min to get another 4 min of play time..

They either need 1 or more fans or better heatsink.

I found out it was thermal issue when i got tired of it and started doing research and finding others with same problem.

See, i ran an external clip limiter in line with this amplifier so i could crank the gain up more to maintain ~28-32v on average output to the mids without them thermally failing but also getting the most power output possible.

Sure.. that's RIGHT at where they are rated at at 2ohms.. but you know what they say.. Koreans are designed to do that.. Pssh..

Not these..

Went to Taramp's where the efficiency went up, cost went down and performance lot better.

wew lad a lanzar opti not designed to take rated power thermally? what a surprise that is! @massivespl will still buy them instead saving a small amount and investing in a real amp like the nendo c2sq

Gotta make sure you buy the correct opti that are Zed designed, There beast. My 250x4 opti is a monster.
