Opinions on AB TNT subs

OK guys I'm in dire need of 2 10s to replace the poopy audiofonics that were given to me. They say 1200w on the màgnet which I am sure is max wattage so i figured 600w rms. My amp is a US AMPS MD2B which is good for 1200 RMS+ and is on a more than capable electrical system. What I'm interested in is the quality ( build, power, and sound) being their lower class woofer. As a side note my box is 1" MDF 3.0' cubed gross and tuned to 35hz.

They are pretty impressive for the cost of the woofers. I ran a tnt 10 a few years back on a old crossfire 1000d and it sounded great
Thanks for the input. So you had a single 10 on a 1k crossfire amp? They must be kind of stout then. Stronger than I figured. Thanks!

Just did a box for 2 TNT 1044's. Nice subs imo. They like the lows.
Thanks for the info man cause I love the lower frequencies! Even with the 2 10s i had got down pretty good, even lower than a buddy running a kicker comp15 with the black and yellow cone on a alpine m500 amp but his box was a prefab though. He couldnt believe how low my 10s got.

After more searching for good 100-150$ subs that dont get alot of attention: How bout the CT Sounds Strato V1 &V2 10? The V1's can be had for 100$ shipped! V2's 130$ I believe.

Out of the ones you have listed the XFL will perform best.
Thanks for the input! But my only concern is the power to feed the xfls because my amp is good for 1200-1400w can't remember the specs. Would it hurt the sub's to be short 600w being that they cal for 1k each. If they will be fine then I know what I'm getting

Well their site shows pics and specs of 1044 and 1022 xfls but there is a statement saying only 12s and 15s available in dual 4 ohm vc. I need the pair of d4 for a 1ohm load. Not sure if my amp is capable of .5ohm load and I know they will be well underpowered at 2ohm....what to do what to do....?

did you search for the d4 ?? google it and see if anybody has them.

i would do that first if you can find them now you could do the d2 and wire at .5 and just et your gain right. remember you will have box rise so its not like the amp will be at .5 all the time.

also soundqbed has subs just like the a.b. subs. look into them. good subs for the money. im running the hdc3 15" and i really like it.

just an option

also what a.b. sub do you want??? as i help you look.

I appreciate it but I have a dealer in the next town over that deals american bass that I had no clue existed. I spoke to him earlier and he said he will hook up a pair of his demo xfl 1022 wire to .5ohm on my amp and see what happens. Also if the amp holds up without kicking off we are going to clamp it for power output at .5 ohm for whoever wants to know. Gotta wait till Monday lunchbreak though
