Opinions on 09 Soundstream Rubicon amps

I'm looking at the 5 channel Rub5.800. Anyone know if these amps are decent? I know that they were good amps back in the day and dropped out of the high end in 2002 or so.

From what I've been told that particular model is slightly over rated so instead of it being 70 watts rms it would be more like 50 watts rms per channel. You will notice that it isn't CEA 2006 compliant. I am also looking at 5 channel amps in the $300 price range and I'm trying to decide between the Soundstream TRA880.5 or the Boston GTA-1005. My main concern with the Soundstream amps is that they were bought by the parent company of Hifonics. Not a quality company, however some people are saying that although not as good as the old school amps they are still decent.
