opinions and suggestions please, new system

I'm open to any suggestions on the amp and subs, i originally wanted subs in a ported box but the orion's were recommended to be put in a sealed. any suggestions on subs I'm looking to spend about 1k on 2 12's and an amp.

FI, RE, T3 , DD and the list goes on from there. Amp is another thing. Depends on how much power you want and how much you want to spend.

To the OP, what kind of advice are you looking for? Do you want us to tell you what equipment we would buy instead of that stuff and tell you why it would be better?

If you have $1k for 2 12" subs and 1 amp to run them, I suggest you get 2 12" Fi Qs with BP power option and a Orion 2500d to run them.

If I had $1k to spend on subs and an amp, I would get a DD 9518 and a Autotek MM3000.1 probably.

yes, 2 12"s will be louder. unless you go ported. then again 2 12"s ported would be louder than one 15" ported. hint hint more cone space. going ported is like adding another sub. you lose some sq but you get better low end responce.

Well looking at the first about 4 posts and then your last one with your looking for spl...

It does not matter if you have 12's or 15's, and you do not have to have 2 subs to get loud.

I agree on one of the posts above about the DD.

Deff get a DD, and get a big enough amp to power it, I have seen two DD 3510's (maybe 12) hit harder than a big *** sponsored hummer with I believe 4 15's. He is on this site as well as the ddaudio.com site..

If I did not like the lows, I would deff get two 10's and kill everyone around just so when I opened the hatch I would get that wow factor..

But honestly IDK what your looking for, but I would say if you want a nice spl/daily get a 9515 with about 3k-4k and you will be good.

DD or T3 would be a good choice IMO. And of course a nice amp to power them with. 2-12's could and would get loud, just as a single 15. All really in preference to what you really want. Other then loud of course.

I will be honest tho, I have seen Crunch and Hifonics subs that have beatin dd and t3. They make some nice subs for the little money they are, and with those you could afford a nice amp or even more subs. Flame away on that one all. Heh

hifonics xxv line is what you want...it a bit more powerful than the autotek m3000 but I would go autotek or hifonics...
