hhhhmmmmmm............................im not taking u seriously - 173dB with 4x12 HSLs SEALED??????????????? no way in hell can u get that with sealed...........................evn with prted i would raise my eyebrow but prbably let it pass on a good day, but with sealed?.....................................i can smell something funny (que JTz with one of those funny bullshitometer picts)

soryy but that just is physcally impossible - HSL are good, but not thatr good, and although a lot does depend on the install, miracles are rare

please prove me wrong - possibly provide a link or some pictures of the setup/the score..................................

Opps! Look's like I did make an mistake, the 173.3 was set by Shawn Murphy 2years ago using eight of the Hollywood Excursion 1280's, which was still an official record, try looking it up! As far as Murphy Chandler's score it was 169.8 on his first run and 170.5 on his second run using only 4 of the Excursion 1280's and yes it is an official score with USACi, and seeing as how the show was just this Saturday USACi hasn't posted the scores to their site yet but got to Soundoff.org and keep watch for the posts youngster! One other thing don't get Hollywoods Excursion subs mixed up with their HSL line of entry level subs either!!!!!!

P.S. don't quote something as being impossible just because you're incapable of doing something or none of the people in the circle you travel in can't either, in this buisness no records last for too long. I still remember when the industry was saying that doing a 150-160 db was impossible no matter where you place the mic and now it's the norm insted of the exception!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :D //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Originally posted by Goddyd4me didnt you say that score of 173.3 was outlaw??? in outlaw cant you place the mic anywhere you want????i always thought outlaw wasnt really an accurate measurment?
I don't know if Shawn Murphy's score was outlaw or not, but Murphy Chandler's score was outlaw. Outlaw is also an accurate measurment so long as the mic is in front of the b-piller, now don't get me wrong it's not the same as it would be if the mic was on the dash, thus the two classes of Outlaw and Legal.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif :) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

8 12s - it would be laughable for him NOT to do 170+

I have a buddy doing that with 2 sHoCkEr 18s - do you know what these are //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

And Im not getting anything mixed up -I know every single line of drivers Hollywood make........................and have heard the flagship models numerous times..............if anyone is getting something mixed up, its you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

It seems that you know nothing about the Hollywood drivers because if you did you wouldn't keep making those stupid statements "they are only good for amps that's short on power" 1100w rms on the 1080d2's is how there run on regular basis here, and some of the guys that are at the shows are running that much power per coil.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif :eek: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

p.s. those power ratings are conservative, we've already proven that they can handle more than the rated.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :D //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :D

errrr............can u read? there answer is no..............but none of us will be surprised..........I try to be civil with you but it ends here

I never said they are onl good for amps short on power alone, said that where you have an amplifier whose power output (RMS, of course (would you like me to explain to you what RMS means, or are you ok, so far???//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif ), a flaghsip HSL driver wll be good as its quite efficient in this respect and will do well.......................

wow....................im soooooooooo impressed....................you can run that on a K series Elemental Design sub with no problem at all, the K series costs about the same, and is a great sub................you can also run big power to DD subs, even the 2000 series, which, again, costs about the same, and quite frankly willoutperform a HSL

wanna argue more?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Nah, I don't work for them, I just like their subs! As I just stated in a reply to JTmoney, I'm only giving my choice on a driver that I like just the same as everyone else here seems to love the "big 3"......bramha, dd, and xxx

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif :D

RangerMan, from what I've read so far on this forum you guy's seem to do some pretty honest reviews of speakers, so please do a test of one of HSL 80 series excursion, PRO, or Edge series subs and give you're own personal opinion...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ;)

this is just really funny as hell. i just have to comment that i personally agree with jtmoney seeing as that i wouldn't use a hollywood sub over an ED K series sub anyday. oh and about the 8 12"s doing 173 in outlaw and you saying "it's a record"?? i could have sworn i've heard of people doing 180's in outlaw especially when the legal record is higher than 173.
