oops. 2 ohm speakers. 2 channel amp.

So i accidentally got some 2ohm speakers instead of 4 ohm speakers. DMM Checked them and got 2.6.

Gonna hook them up to a sundown 125.2.

specs say

----RMS power, 4 ohm stereo

125W x 2CH

----RMS power, 2 ohm stereo

200W x 2CH

so i assume its safe. Also using passive crossovers for this build. Rms for speakers are 90 each.

Also since im gonna try using a dmm for making gains. Would i be using V= Square of (200 X 2.6)??

I most definitely did not mean to give them 200w per channel.

Am i gonna have any problems here?

Or should i run it active and have run them in parallel/series, (Forgot which one) to get a 4 ohm load on one channel and do the same for the tweeters on the other channel?

Youll use whatever wattage you want to acheive in the forumAL for calculating voltage. If you wanted 90 watts otd be V = sq rt of (90 x 2)

Can't run 4 speakers active on a 2, correct. Need a 4 channel for 2 mids and 2 tweets.

You probably have 4 ohm speakers. DC resistance is not the same as ac impedance.
