Only rear speakers?

If i had a nice pair or 6.5" speakers in the back of my car(their not in the doors their behind the seats facing the rear windshield) . Would i still need to put a front stage in to hear the vocals well? Ive got 2 jl w6s 12's. Thanks.

you going about this all wrong buddy. You dont want anything in the rear. All front.

you dont go to a concert with your back turned to the artist

absolutely zero money should be spent on the rear speakers, its a crime especially with the head unit you have. You got a nice 80 prs, get a 4 channel and do a 2 way active front and actually properly utilize that head unit the way its meant to be used.

I have a 4 channel amp. But what do u mean by 2way active? My front speaker door depth is very shallow that's why i want bigger ones in the back.

you got an 80 prs and you dont even know what it does? lol soo much wasted potential

get some alpine type R neodymium components and bridge your 4 channel and only power the front then. The type Rs will fit any shallow mount door.

yeah most of us don't run rears, i just have mine faded 80% to front now cause i don't feel like pulling rear deck out.. u want most words to be in front of u.. u let a sub make bass, set hp over (on hu) on speakers to like 100hz so they don't distort..
