OK, I am new here, and I am thinking that half of these thread replies are completely dumb. OK, so if your just spending mom and dads money, get a job and learn a couple things before you say you know what you are talking about.

Now that is outta the way...

I recently looked up a pair of Cerwin Vega 12" Stroker Pros and am wondering (before I spend the money) if anyone would recommend these ungodly subs.

I am looking to install them inside of a 2003 Trailblazer. I have 1/0 G running through the car and perfected the ground. I also have a urge to hold my breath and order 2 Memphis MCD1000 amps which will be ran linearly (I think, not sure yet). So, if anyone with recommendations please reply to this thread (and no, I DO NOT WANT TO BUY ANYTHING)

Precisely

I use these brands because of the way they match-up. This Trailblazer is getting a face lift eventually and maybe even kill a couple of competitions. Money does matter, but if I get my name on that thing, I am going to make sure it is only the best. The name Precisely is exactly what it means.

CA&E gave the Stroker Pro's a very high rating. If you can find them for a good price and power them appropriately, I bet that you would be happy.

The only way to know for sure is to demo them in your vehicle.

dia tribe where you from?

the new strokers are ok subs... id definately buy fi subs before i would buy strokers, but hey what do i know...

and the memphis 1000ds just not my favorite amp after seeing 3/4 that the local shop installed come back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ahh, another person from Michigan inadvertantly insulting half the forum and/or making an *** of themselves within their first 10 posts. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

So, is competition your only concern, or will this play music driving to work every day as well? If the latter, what do you listen to?

Everyone wonders why I do not like the internet

The reason that the stroker PROS were my choice is that CVs are a diamond in the rough, coming from a bias. CV has never let me down, nor Memphis. Again, this is pure bias (formed from opinion). But all in all, if I have to get different amps, I am for it. Again, this is just getting past from a conceptual stage. I am kind of computer impaired, so if someone wants to reply to this thread with some good sites, then feel free.

Precisely... grown up with bills to pay

PS I listen to classics i.e. Al Green, Isley's, Paper Lace etc.

If I were you I would use the search button, I have seen nothing wrong with the new stroker's so they would be fine choice, But 1kw each is not enough. I would try to get 2k watts to each sub to make them really move.

Thank you, Sub, I am weary on paying this, but I will (as I put a gun to my head)and have to right it off this year.

Precisely... and where is this "search" button? (I am kidding)

I am not trying to impress anyone... I am over all of that. Most people have a misconception that they look "cool" with 125+ dBs... I just think they look like they are going to have tinnitus for the rest of their lives. I am okay with how I sound and that is all that matters (unless there is money involved)

Precisely... someone understands the classics
