i have a 89 mustang and have one question. the only battery for the main starting and what not is in the hatch. wires that run from the alt to the battery in the back, to the starter, and grounds is 4ga. would i fry the wires if i put my amp 3 feet off the only battery in the hatch with anl fuse? let me know i will be running a solid 500RMS

The closer to the battery the better. A few of the newer cars only have a battery in the back and the factory wiring is 4g at best. Of course changing out the wiring to 0g would benefit you if you can do it.
