Sub Box Beat Pulser and Neon Light setup Troubleshooting Help\Power Requirements?

Hi

I recieved a Sub box enclosure with 4 ports and installed inside the box was 4 Bar lights and 2 "Music Sensors" that were rigged to the box's outputs. the lights or sensors have never worked in there so i took them out and just left the Sub in there. I want to work out whether they actually do work or were just incorrectly installed.

I just need to know what power (and how much) these devices need to run as i have a digital multimeter and an understanding of general electronics.

The lights have 2 wires coming out of them (+ and -) and the music sensor has 2 wires for the light to connect to and another 2 that were connected to the speakers

I connected the speaker connection of sensors to the outputs of my 200W Home stereo Amp (with light attached to light attachment and nothing happens?

Inside the box was routed through 2 white bars(2cmx6cm) with 20W 8(ohm symbol)J? (some sort of Ohm switch??)

Any Ideas as to a correct way to test these to ensure they are working or not as everything i do results in nothing??
