One speaker blown, the other fine...how, why?

I made a very similar thread about my previous cxv1s. That time the driver side mid went out randomly for no reason while the other was fine. I replaced the pair with the v2's. My doors are deadened and sealed pretty good with deadener. I poked holes for the water to drain at the bottom. I keep the volume at 20/37-ithink. The gain on the outputs for the mid is less than half way... I have 2 volt preouts and only ~100rms going to the mids. I havent removed the mid and tested it yet, but i fear the worst.

I am not quite sure what is going on and why one mid would blow and with a different pair, later on,the other one blew. I was riding on I85 with the volume at 20/37. Listening to weekend on the rocks by dmb. Never had problems with these songs before at this level, never smelled anything, the right mid just stopped. Same thing happened with my previous cx62v1s... Anyone have any idea what is possibly going on?

are the speakers getting wet? you said you poked holes for drainage. do you have something to keep the speakers frmo gettting dripped on? also have you checked all your wiring? is the amp new or an older one? sooo many different things could cause it.

There is a possibility of the speakers getting wet. When I further investigate I will see if the doors are wet inside. If so, do those foam covers protect speakers pretty well or are the better options?

Wiring is fine. Amp is older, but it is not the amp IMO. If I were to bet on it, I would say it may be from water damage.
