One question about the big 3

Ok the factory battery wire going from the battery to the alt...can I just cut that or is their something else spliced into it? I believe it might have drained my battery down by leaving the wire not plugged up into anything. I know the battery is good and I know the wires are hooked up right...SOOO yea...halp? Car is a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am

This is making me mad lol...the stereo hook up thing is supposed to be the easy part. Had everything hooked up but the battery posts are too short...so I bought another one for the hot wires...put it in...then it was too long...so had to go around the neighborhood borrowing washers...and then I lost the negative battery post I had...so I had to go and buy another...and now something has drained my battery...**** man this is starting to seem like too much trouble lmao.

i wouldn't cut the wire, you could just leave the that wire connected and add your new big 3 cable on top of it, if that makes sense to you.

in my car, the alt not only powers to the batt but it also has another cable directly from the alt to the fuse box/main electrical.

ya.. its best to do that.. Just gives you a little more wire to carry a little more current and its wayy easier... good luck

you could just leave the that wire connected and add your new big 3 cable on top of it

thats what i had planned to do when i do mine. glad to hear that I can
