one of my speakers not working correctly

i have a set of infinity 3 way kappa 6.5 speakers. one of them is not working correctly. sometimes it makes noticeable crackly crunch noises and plays the music at a very low volume when i crank my music up loud. this only happens sometimes. i thought it was be a connection problem but everything seems to be ok. can anyone help me and tell me whats wrong? thanks

hit it with the DMM and see if it reads the correct impedance. check to see that the speaker is in good shape physically... make sure the tensils are good, and that the surround and spider has no tears.

If it passes all those tests then run a "temp" set of speaker wires to it as it could be a wire shorting out somewhere...
