Onboard PC install

I want to throw a study on installing an inboard PC and monitor in my Impala for audio tweaking. I haven't started yet, just wanted some advise on hardware and software manufactures, as well as what and where to start research.

Yea, I live in a mobile home and have no wife or kids, but that lets me build and play with toys. It's all good.
