Externally it will look just like the old model SAE-1200D :
yeah i saw that, just making sure i order one right

I cant tell you have not hear much about the soundstream stealth but i can tell you to look any were for a bad review on a sundown and its very rare you find one and if so then am 100% sure sundown helped them fix what ever it was. If this thing pushes 1500rms at 12v for only $260 buck i really dont think there is a better deal out there for a new amp. If i was you just stick with most people on these forum and get the sundown

plus the sound stream 1200 only allows 4ga the sundown takes 0ga plus there has been lots of test on the sundown and i could be wrong but have not seen any test proving the sound streams output

yeah but you can get two ap1500 for less than one sundown1200, plain and simple, now try explaining that to a young kid, with a limited budget, i could make a amp and spec it as being a 1000 watt amp (but really a 2000 watt amp) watts are watts, question is how much u wanna pay for the same watts. as far as reliablity, is see no diff in the two brands, of all the post i've read, it seems to me that more sundown products goes in for repair, more times than i've read audiopipe products having too. Sure if you break your sundown amp, and u can get a new one real fast, but that doesn't justify them to be as good as any other brands, All is see is just a company tring to get it customer base. belive me all the brands started out like this. As long as you run you amp within specs, and send in your warranty papers, you'll be fine with either brand, most brands give you atleast 1 year, Many people in here keep their amps less then that.

Where can you get the Audiopipe for under $130?

Updated photo of the new board actually in the casing.

That new board design looks pretty **** solid! How much of an improvement over the orignal 1200?
Power output is roughly the same... all the transistors are the same part numbers and quantity.

The output inductor did get beefed up with a second winding, large current carrying bars were added to the power supply, and there are more caps on the board but not a real significant change in output. I expect a few percent more output and more efficiency while doing it primarily.

The big difference is this is a double sided board so is much more resilient when mounted in a vehicle that is vibrating and bouncing around. About 90% of all failures in the v.1 SAE-1200D were due to vibration and shaking messing up something as the board was single sided. This board also features more clamps to hold the PCB down (see the small metal clamps in the corners).
