Older type Power Boosters

I am thinking about getting an older type power booster...one like Radio Shack used to make....it is 5 band and 40 watts...and there are some that are 100watts.

I want to power my JBL 6x9s in my boat with the booster.

The reason is I already have a 1000watt amp for my sub.

And I only have one batty in the boat and dont want to add another batty because of the weight.

Im thinking the small booster will not draw as much power as adding another AMP....but will still give me an added punch to the 6x9s that I want.

A good high power radio will put out cleaner and more power than a cheap booster...most CD players have a better EQ circuit as well....

X2 I have not used one of those boosters in years. Maybe a small cheap amp would work as well.

Now that is old school. I remember when EQ power boosters and Jensen triaxial
