old vehicle

i had the same problem with my 91 blazer, all i did was buy 1 of those adaptors things...i cant remember the name of them at this moment though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

i dont care if it fits, ill just cut the dash if i really have to....i need to figure out what will work with the wiring of the vehicle

In fact, you might have to plan on doing some rewiring, harness or no harness. An '88 Ford van is very likely to have a common-ground speaker system. You'll either need a common-ground to floating-ground adapter (which will eliminate the high power benefits of the head unit) or you'll need to run new speaker wire.
