old timer here

first off im an old timer, 60 years old. i go way back on car stereos. back to when the newest pioneer setup was a pioneer HU with separate amplifier. that pioneer was still push buttons for channel, but was a deck, no internal amp. and for speakers there were only 6" X 9"s but they were some really outrages 6" X 9"s. im talking about early 70,s. sound quality was just as good as today but pretty much only had a EQ for setting your tones. well after 30 years i finally bought a new setup, sony cdxgt650ui. tech. has come a long way. ive always been a music fanatic. ill be reading posts to learn as much as i can about the new system setups and how there setup for best results. my system isnt anything special, couple of 6.5" pioneers in my front truck doors and a couple of JL Audio 8" subwoofers behind my seat, each with there own amps. HU cdxgt650uiw. ive mostly been getting my music, free, off beemp3.com, load it onto a flash drive and use that on my stereo. anyway just saying Hi.

guess i kinda of asked for that. guess thats why im getting back into a nicer and louder sounding truck stereo, better, and cheaper, than a hearing aid.

the amp way back was bi-liner. didnt look like much but sure sounded good. your into the old stuff Louisiana_CRX. seems it was made to last.
