Ok so I have three old school subs that are somewhat sentimental to me one of which I blew a few years back and I am trying to find a replacement for but finding an exact match is not the easiest thing to do with subs this old so I had a question.
The setup was three 4 ohm SVC subs wired down to 1.3. Now if I happen to find the same exact sub only in a 2 ohm DVC version would that even be a viable option? I know most say not to run a single coil on a DVC sub like if I were to find a DVC 4 ohm (I have fond a few of those) but I haven't ever really heard the mixing of DVC and SVC in the same line/brand of subs discussed (probably for good reason).
I am figuring like most ghetto improvised things it's probably not a great option but I really don't have a whole lot of options to work with so I'm grasping at straws and figured I would ask.
I had thought about a rebuild but then I would need to do all three which would require me to ship all three etc plus they are smaller coils 2.5 and a older somewhat unknown sub so I am not sure anyone would even want to mess with them.
