The RF Power BD1000a1 and (1998) Punch 240.4 won out in my truck. Nothing like the feel of an old school RF amp in my hands.

I run OS amps because there cool. When I was younger I always dreamed about owning the old stuff now I can afford it. I am currently running a US amps PT-1100 bass mekanik nothing like 1000 watts at 8 ohms.

This exactly. I honestly believe there are amps out today that are more power, cleaner, and better built than os stuff.. But the price point is too high for my budget. So os it is. anything ZED made.. old school autotek was mean.. really anything old school in the big brand names were monsters..

the hcca line was powerfull but current hungry

awesome thread. only run Orion Xtreme amps in my rides. All 98-99 models. i am lookin for a pra-h400 tho for the changes im making.

In the early 90's I was running the old school Linear Power amps and Hifonics amps. I actually see a resurgence of members wanting to buy those amps and run them too. I am still running a Hifonics(newer model) but lot's of the older amps can pull a high price to own. Over the years I have changed what I have like because of all the shows and cars i have seen. Don't forget to let everyone know what you decide to go with!

I have a rotation of big 2ch's for Eclipse TI subduty. Orion "the beast" MINT! Zapco Studio 500 LE, Kicker ZR 1000 and Zed OptiDrive 2500. All 1k at 4ohm amps. Riiiggghht....
