old school sub, repair?

i found a old school orion xtr 1600w peak 800w rms sub that needs new foam surrounds. Im not shure if its worth it though ($25 for a do it yourself kit).

I know orion makes kick a$$ subs expecially when they first started out (like the 2NT). But was the old school XTR 1600w sub a good model?

If anyone knows it would be greatly apperciated
