OLD school setup HELP PPI

HEllo guys my first post here....great forum......Im going to put a little bump in the trunk of my B5 passat.....I had a couple of questions.....I just picked up an old school PPI A600 art series (Black) in mint shape....if I told you how much I paid (you guys would probably passout:eek:)

I plan on hooking it up to my (2) JL audio 12W3-D4.......Id like to do it right....the box was built to JL audios specs, Im not to sure If I had the speakers wired right inside for this application so I figure Id check with you guys.

Also some info on wiring that PPI a600 would be great as well.....Im not exactly sure of all the specs on this stuff so If somone could chime in with info I could save that would be wicked Pissah:D heres a pic of my subs in my trunk with another old school amp California A600XL.....man I love that amp too....it will power up but it goes right to the red light....so in my search I came across this PPI:p:......well thanks in advance for any help

I couldnt answer you right now, Im not sure.....They were working with the old Cali amp, I took the speakers out to make room to pick somone up at the airport, Me being a dumb *** I left the speaker wires bare...( i was in a hurry)...so I think with all the luggage they ended up touching and burning something out....like I said it was working Mint....then the airport trip and bare wires, I hook it up it comes on for a second then into safety she goes.....No big deal The old school PPI I bought for Peanuts is sweet...heres a pic for old school fans...I love how it has the schematics kind of etched into it........

I know you cant see in the Pic but on the bottom right it says precision power art series 1992.....LOL Man what a fossil.......
good stuff though. i have a pc2350. it cooks me breakfast and has gotten my dog pregnant twice...............oh, and it powers subs pretty well also.

i have the same amp but it is white. wire each sub"s coils togeather(+to+ and -to-) this will give you 2ohms per sub. then make a jumper from one+ to the other- on the terminal cups and then run the wire from the amp to the other +and - on the terminal cups and this will give you a final 4 hom load. that amp bridged puts out a SOLID 600w rms @ 4 ohms and should run your w3 good. thoes w3 are rated at 250w each and have an x-max of about 14mm one way. your ppi amp may run hot but dont worry, they do

hope this helps

Just follow the wiring diagram from JL Audio.

You may have your subs wired in parallel which would put a 1 ohm load on the amp which would cause it to go to protection. If you wire in series it'll be a 4ohm load.
