depends on your car. on mine, there was already a spot on the passenger side with a grommet and everything. on my friend's car, we had to drill a hole.

the autoparts store sells grommet kits....i think partsexpress has them let me look

i was actually asking wut kind like rubber or plstic but that answered it

I had to drill a hole. I did it under the drivers side dash by where the clutch pedal would be if it was a 5-speed. And I used the plastic grommet that comes with the Kicker 1/0 Gauge Kit.

I haven't, but after I put the grommet in and the wire through it, I used a sealant to completely seal it from the engine compartment.

use the grommet to protect the wire and sealant to seal it

I used the Streetwires firewall bushing for my 0 guage run. Uses two rubber grommets and clamps the wire in place.
