I just bought an Old School RF 500.2 amp, claims 125x2 @4, 500x1 @ 4

I know for a fact they do rated power, but how much more can i expect out of this amp?

600 + or is that asking too much?

I figured some of you oldies on here would know.

Thanks guys.

I wouldn't really call that old school, lol. In 1999 I had a 250.2 that did 334 @ 4 on the birth sheet with rated power of 250. I would say that 600 watts RMS @ 4 ohms bridged without clipping should be easily attainable with a 500.2.

ETA: THIS is old school and does 500 watts RMS @ 8 ohms mono. It has been modified by TIPS!

yeh that amp should do over 600 @ 4 ohm, keep it @ 4 though dont go any lower //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If it works and you like it, it is worth whatever you were willing to pay for it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Seriously though, $100 shipped is not a bad deal at all for that amp.
