Old school opinions!!!

I am almost complete with my system in my silverado, i just need to pick which subs i want to run. I love old school subs and i wanted to know what you guys would do, and which would earn more respect. I am torn between the old school 10 flat ppi subs and the old school 8w6v1. Ive ran the ppi's but not the w6. i love the old school original subs because of how rare they can be, anyone else old school??? let me know what you think!! thanks fellas

Orion XTR DVC's bro.... Had 8 of those in a wall in 1993.... Or if you can find them, the Old kicker free air subs... those both were the ticket back in the day.. I still have both of my Orion 2100 HCCA's that ran those XTR's..

The HCCA old school amps were awesome!! i had a 225, talk about underrated! those amps were a lot of fun because they could go to a real low impedance before any other amps could. I remember the xtr's but never ran them, i was also thinking about the round solo bariacs or xpl's???

I love old school amps like the PPI art series, or the phoenix gold zx series! which were both of my favorites. I have a pair of sundown amps that i just cant part with though!

The Kicker Free Airs were not nearly the subs that the Competition line were.

I'm a huge fan of the original W6 line. I've been trying to find a set of the 8s in good condition for years. I have a trio of the 10s in perfect shape.

I've got a room full of HCCA Orions and PG MS series amps. But like you the new system is going to be Sundown powered.

Yeah IIRC my Orion 2100 HCCAs are rated at 100 watts RMS.. LOL yeh right, more like 1400 RMS at 2.. I ran one of my 2100's daily at .5 for years with no issues.... the things never sneezed or coughed at me.. gotta lovem..

I didnt ever try the PG MS series but my favorite amp of all time was the PG zx500 in black! wish i didnt blow it up! Hard to beat the old school equipment.

Ive seen the MacIntosh Old school amps with the voltage meters on the front (IE very very expensive!!) but ive never seen the subs. And i dont have room to run a 15. It has to either be a shallow 12, or preferabbly a 10 or 8.
