Yeah I figure the kid must have done something to it, because the sound just didn't match with the amount of work put it into it. I drove that car once and had to drive with the bass down just because of how much of a PITA it was to drive. I've driven on some stiff clutches, but holy balls that car takes the cake lol.
I remember when you barely let out on the clutch, it would jump forward and go like left or right if you werent holding on, lol.... and yes really really stiff... i remember several months after car was sold, the guy who bought it called because the had the radio and stuff all out he said trying to figure out how to hook up something (dont remeber what) and said he couldnt get radio or amps to work now, after a ton of time on the phone back and forth, i offered to go through the car and make sure everything working up to par, i would discount the time, but could not do for free.. but he never came out... when car sold, all the original paperwork, parts, bills, etc. went with car, so i assume he just called us from the paperwork. The best thing on a lien, is we didnt have to deal with any of it, We had the Lien company deal with everything, when sold, they went straight through the title company to have transferred to them so that it was indeed transferred.. I never knew anything on the motor, but was told it was a swap of some sort... would be curious if it indeed was one, and what exactly it was.

Yeah, idk how anyone would want to have to drive it for a daily driver using that clutch. I think my friend owned it for less than a month before trading it.
