Old school ***** AM

I'm gonna try and keep it pretty much original...it will be a Sunday evening cruiser....I figure stock it should be pretty good on gas...I figure 17-18 around town and 20-22 hwy....maybe better if I'm lucky //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Those are ambitious estimations. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Very ambitious, my '76 Formula with a Pontiac 400/TH400 combo averaged about 16Hwy and 12 City. That was with the original gearing, 2.56, IIRC.

403 is an Olds engine.....400 in the Poncho milll - get it right - big difference. You could get a 4-speed with the Poncho - auto only in the Olds. Sticker on the shaker - 6.6 T/A = Pontiac. 6.6 Litre = Olds. You can do a hell of a lot more with the Pontaic than the Olds motor. Hope you get an Indian(you're "old skool" if you know that reference).

1979 vin k is a 403 bro //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I have a complete list of all the f body vin codes and what they mean. I have the last great camaro ever built (78z28 with a FACTORY 400/400 combo and vacuum actuated cowl induction - s/o, find a vin code for that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ) we have had the car in my family since it was new. my brother used to take me cruising in it after we got it. and I still own it today. 79 was also the last year for the 400 pontiac mill.

I really like the early Z28's as well.......i had been looking for an 81 or early Z28 or ***** Am for a while.....and I finally found one that wasn't trashed....I'm still trying to figure out how to get a front stage in it....any idea on these cars?

always hated these cars

but lately like the past few months i am digging them

Dale Earnhart Junior did a 70's camaro frame off resto

super nice

so you got the Texarcana model

good job

they can be really sweet

drop a 2005 pontiac GTO motor in it

unfortunately you have little option unless you go under the dash behind the center console or cut the doors. I have 2 sets of qsd quarts in each door on mine but I didnt use the factory panels, i got used ones and recovered them with aftermarket look alike panels. and run 2 old school punch series 12's in IB in the rear deck with an mdf baffle, on an old 1252xi kicker. it pounds hard as fvck for what it is.

I checked with Q forms and saw there wern't any custom kick panels made //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif ...I'm thinking there is a vent or something in the factory kicks that would get in the way if speakers are custom mounted in that location

im in the middle of restoring my 81 z28 (i know this isnt a t/a) but just about the same body style so figure ill just it up..
