I see a lot of people now calling the managers to come approve the checks. Its GREAT. I dunno if its just to hold those check people up, or to try to sway them away from checks, but its GREAT when they get all antsy about it...lol

I still use checks for when I need to make big withdrawals because my debit cards have a 1k max so I go through about 5 checks a year all made out to cash for withdrawals.

I just find it funny how impatient people have gotten over time. I love seeing people get all pissed off just cause something is taking a bit longer than expected, gives me a good chuckle. It's like the world is about to end because an entire minute extra is taken when people are waiting in line, similar to traffic jams where people gotta lay on the horn, YEA the horn will make everyone instantly start moving like some magic spell.

On the flip side though I would never use a check to pay for stuff in a store, also I HATE using plastic for purchases, cash is accepted everywhere and always works. I only use plastic to pay for gas and online purchases just so I can keep track of my fuel usages and use paypal and such.

Yea there is a bit of that up her , mostly in the city and such. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't bust out a check book or sit there and take my sweet time in a check out line just to see people get pissed off, I try to do m thing and move along as respect to the others waiting. I just get a little laugh of people getting mad over little things that they have little to no control over. I just like a slower pace of life lol, and heck I am only 23 can only imagine what I will be like when I am 70.

Back when I worked in the produce department the people who get impatient and want things done right away and their way get it done the wrong way the long way. Oh sorry I forgot something, oh you wanted that too, I guess I didn't hear that. Oh and in the restaurant it got even better lol, for those who have seen Waiting just understand not to mess with those who are handling your food.

oh my ****ing god i work at a gas station and i know exactly what you mean. i especially hate it when people buy a ****ing soda and are like "can i write this for $10 over" i wanna reach across the counter and slap the shit out of them. I hope they get rid of checks soon, they are stupid.

We're talking about checkout lines. Checks are okay for Mexicans and mail purposes.

I have customers who use checks all of the time. One chick used her debit card for $.34 lol

I got pwned doing that. I had a Sonic Card and used it..Was .56 short of paying for my meal..Used my debit card and this is straight from my online bank statement.

yea that would be absolutely retarded. Sadly I wouldn't be surprised if it were to happen though. Too many people living in places where they don't really buy goods or services that can't be paid for online or something. I got a few friends who are starting to transition to even a cashless society where they refuse to carry cash on them and instead use their debt card for everything.
