Old newbie from Texas

Hi,

I have been out of the car audio "scene" for a few years now. It had been a hobby of mine since the late 80s - 1980s that is. I got rid of my last system in 2003. Just looking to get back into it. I tried to replace it with home theater, but it's just not the same. I have really missed feeling my music, and I think I'm hooked again. I'm currently getting setup for an install in my 2003 Silverado extended cab. Anyone ever heard the JL stealthbox for this truck? (12w3v2d4) Interested in your thoughts. I've been checking out the site for a while and decided to register.

The stealthbox is pretty nice, but JL is a tad overpriced. Many members in DFW area can help you design and build a box that would fit. many other brands out there nowadays like FI, Ascendant Audio, RE, etc. etc.

my cousin got a box custom built to fit under the back seat of his sierra and it was a lot cheaper than the stealthbox, you should look into all your options. it will be cheaper and may even sound better.
