Hello Everyone;

I am new to this websight. I just purchased an 07 Nissan Sentra (Base Model) and would love to pimp my ride.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I think thats so cool. I do have a few questions about the Avital 4400 Security system that I just had installed.

After it was installed by a very good detail shop, I was talking to the installer and he told me that he worked for the shop for 4 months with no experience, he was just good at installing alarms. If anyone else has this alarm, does it seem very quiet?? or should I say, the alarm chirp seems very soft? Secondly, when you remot start your car, does the lights flash??? Please help an old lady out.

lights flashing is pretty common. depends on what system you get tho..lights usually flash when you unlock/lock the vehicle..sometimes when you remote start they beep a few times, or lights flash. depends on what ya got

I've got the Avital 4400 remote start. When I remote start my car, the light flash on and off for about 10 minutes and then the car shuts down. It's almost like it in a timer mode.

right, while the car is on, and the key is not in the ignition, the car's lights sould blink. But once you put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position, and press the brake, it the lights ought to quit blinking, and your car is drivable. If the keys aren't in the ignition, and the brake is pressed, then the car shuts off. It automatically shuts off after 10 minutes just in case you accidentally activated the remote start so you don't waste too much gas.

and if it seems to quiet, ask them to either check the aim of the siren, or install a second one.

If the siren seems quite have the installer cut the loop on it which will increase it a bit to your liking.

As for the lights flashing..thats default, optional is the have them steady on while the car is running. Certainly something the installer should have offered to do.
