Old Eclipse Fan ready to step up to a dvd flipout. got questions..?

Cheap guy here that still likes the quality products out there and like the title says I'm.seeking out an eclipse DVD flipout and I been checking out possible deals on eBay and see a lot of these decks need a separate brain or type of tuner thing to hook up to. I wanted to know if the brains or tuners were universal. Let me know if they are some are or how I can find out. Thanx in advance!

I don't think a lot of them are....but I would buy something that already has both parts.... any of those on eBay?

Wow I seen one set but mainly seperate pieces are found on eBay. Some of the tuner/brains are twice the length of the decks. It doesn't help that eclipse is out of service now. I'm a big fan of 8v pre outs. I got an extra av8022 on the side now if anybody has an extra brain wiring or another deck let me know....
