i have a coolsat 6000 and i also have a coolsat 7100 and i love them both im biased wtih coolsat though but i know a lot of peeps use viewsats

and i edited my post about the 65.5 lol ill have to see about trying to pick 61.5 up.

Which receiver works best?

coolsat seems to be doing well. there is plenty of support which is why i use them. i have the 5000, the 6000 is supose to better has more storage space and a better image quality. 7000 has a dvr function, 8000 is HD. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i heard ok things about pansat/viewsat too, but i dont know enough about them

is that the one with ghey internal switch? you want to use the Legacy LNBs they seem to be better

Probably, its all good, i ended up getting the dishpro quad lnb and now have 4 boxes setup with enough channels for my liking. i guess 600 is good enough for me!

pansat i have tryed to use but unless you convert their older box's you dont gt any support.

61.5 is on an extremely low arc just to let you know. its almost as if the dish is completely facing horizontal.

viewsats are good, support is very good as well, usually sonicview and viewsat and coolsat are the ones witht he fastest support. I have 3 viewsat extremes and 1 coolsat4000, my coolsat changes super slow right now even with the latest bin and my others work just fine

go to a local dish shop with like Indian owners. they will sell you a used dish cheap. i got mine for practically free. if u dont have a motor invest in an eliptical dish so u get a wider spread. all u really need is a dish network LNB u dont need the dish network reflector

the latest bin on the coolsat is unstable IMO. i had to resetup box a few times, it would format itself

Oh ya.... I MIGHT have an extra dish you would just need to buy the base or w/e which i could get for you as well for like 5 bucks.

What sorta ch's are available...I've heard of the FTA but have never experimented with uit...I have a C band that still works here...I use to play around with KU band on it....

tons of channels, depends on what sat ur pointin at, but international channels, dish channels, i've only tried dish channels so ya....

well a true FTA will only show freechanels. but with bin file "updates" it acts as a decoder. you get everything on that dish

i got a like 6 different ESPN, HBOs,SHO,CINemax,PPV movies 20-25pron channels and a the rest of the basic satelite channels, mtv mtv2 comedy, tbs, etc (119 is the main dish u want.)
