Old Diamond Audio Comps M5s

I took a chance and bought some old Diamond Audio comps off Ebay and would like to know what exactly I have. They are 5 1/4" comps with 1" tweets. Woofers say Diamond Audio Motorsports Made In German 75W Woofers look like carbon fiber material. The tweeters are LPG silk dome. xovers say Diamond Audio M5. I emailed the guy and had him swap the aluminum tweeters for silk LPGs. I have a 50x4 @ 4 ohm. MTX RFL amp linked here http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products/amplifiers/RFL404_amp.cfm Is this amp sufficient for those speakers? amp is only 50w and speakers call for 75w.

Just need to mention I can't run these bridged off that amp because I'm running a JL Stealth box bridged off the rear two channels.

Dude! Those were the $h!t back in the 90's! I used to compete (beginner class) with the 6.5 version of those run off a Mmats LM4065, 3 10" Solos run off a modded Mmats D300hc and a P9 HU and would place most of the time. I loved those spkrs! Diamond screwed up when they went to the metal and then to the grey stuff. Their new stuff just didnt sound as good as those.

Well that's good to know. I thought they should be pretty decent. Everything sounds right in the description as far as being good speakers. I just hope I'm not asking too much out of this amp.

I used to have a set of the 6.5" HEX series Diamondcomps and the Diamond motorsport 6.5" coaxes in my car back in the day and man they sounded better than any speakers I've had since. I wish I could get hold of some of the old HEX comps. Good find on these!
