Old CDT Midwoofer blew after 7 years.. Need Replacement

I wonder why you want to downgrade your mids. It could be argued the midwoofers are most often the weakest link in most installs. I don't want to steal a potential sale from mylows10, so instead I will second his recommendation of the CDT MO-6 mids for $120 shipped. What he didn't tell you is these mids just came out in December, and why they're a steal for $120. You get ES Gold sound quality for the price of CL mids. They're a true 6.5" mid, unlike the other CDT mids that are more like 6.75" and require a special baffle ring to fit stock locations.

If you would prefer to stick with 5.25" mids the CL-5 mids go for $159.99. It's a downgrade but it's staying with the CDT Audio brand.

Just not into car audio as much as I was before, so I really just want something that will sound better than just one speaker, but doesn't need to blow me away. Needs to be 5.25". Not wanting to rip the car up. Brand does not matter one single bit.

CDT is terrible anyways. Even bose sounds better. Just buy some goldwoods off of parts express. They're surprisingly not that bad. I was playing with some last night.

i've upgraded the xovers and tweets so far,and soon the mids .mine will take 300 watts rms each side when done.takes 200 per side now and are loud as hell

Why don't you contact CDT and just buy what you need - the correct replacement mid?
