I've got a friend who just picked up a beater to drive around while he finishes perfecting an engine swap on his real car. His main complaint with the beater is that it has no stereo at all.

So basically, he wants to pick up something for around 100 dollars total; headunit and speakers. For the headunit the only requirement is that it plays cds and isn't a complete POS like pyramid and the likes. For the speakers, it has to be at least the equivalent of a stock 1987 BMW 3 series.

A perfect example of what he is looking for would be something like this, sadly we missed out on it:

I've got a Sony CDX-F5000, it may need a new harness cuz it was cut to about 2inches long when removed. I also have a cheap Boss 2ch amp that'll do a good 75w per channel (rated for 125w). I'll let that combo go for $50. If interested I'll get a couple of pics for ya.

I have a jenson amp only one channel works but I acutaly used it to power a jl 12w6v2 for a week and it sounded good if hes lookn for a cheap amp tell him $5 + shipping

Hey this is the guy mister x is talking about. The car I'm using as a beater is an e21 BMW. 1980 320is. I just need something that will keep me sane...I hate not having music in the car. The car that is out of commision at the moment is a 1987 BMW 325is with a 1994 engine in it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif It's a fun car but it still has some things that need tending too. Mainly vacuum leak fix, upgraded cams, and software, suspension etc. By the time it's done it will be faster than a brand new M3. And it already has the stereo side of things taken care of so I won't need to transfer anything. But anything you guys have is appreciated. That Sony head unit sounds good...I will probably grab that and any speakers would work. Thanks again guys.

I got a cheap alpine here and i think i might even have a cheap 15 for like 25 if you want it lol got to see if its still in the basement its a mtx and i have that jensen amp to work on it. nothing great but it will give you some bump
