Hey i have a question on the amp i bought from you guys yesterday. in

the description it says

400 WATTS x 2 @ 2OHMS BRIDGED

is this correct? because i notice that the amp isnt 1 ohm stable at

all, and when you bridge you add up the channel minimum impedance

which is 2 ohms you get a 4 ohm load while bridged.

so is this amp 400W @ 2ohms or 400W @ 4ohms?

thanks in advance

everything else, including hifonics themselves are saying this amp is

400W at 4ohms instead of 2ohms... are you completely 110% sure?

ok i got the amp in... i looked in the manual, it states nowhere that it is capable of being bridged at a 2ohm load. the manual goes onto say it is 330W x 2 @ 4 OHMS not the 400W x 2 @ 2 OHMS and i called hifonics yet again (third time) and they say that this amp CANNOT operate stable in a bridged 2 ohm load (one - from ch 1 and one + from ch 2) so why is your auction mis-stating the values of this amplifier? the specs are right inside the box.

I am confident our specs are accurate. It can be run at 4 or 2 ohms. When you look at the 4 channel rating, you can see its more watts @ 2 ohms than at 4 ohms, and it’s the same when you bridge it to 2 channels

Hifonics just didn’t write anything in there specs rating it @ 2 ohms, and therefore there customer support did not know anything about it when you called.

Just hook it up, you will see, it will sound good.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.
