OK, LOTS of questions, plz help experts

Yeah, i really need the port my trunk, i've got two 15" W3s running off a 1000W Memphis D-class amp, in seperate boxes, and the whole trunk rattles, but hardly any bass can be heard inside or outside the car (you'd think that with the trunk seperate from the car, you'd hear it a lot outside, but you really don't.

now i'm guessing it's because (and a lot of people have told me this) Cadillac trunks seal like a tank, so i've got to find a way to get the trunk to lead through into the car in some way. the two easiest ways to do this are to either remove the back panel that goes below the back window... or to cut a hole behind the back seat armrest, so the 'bass' just flows through into the car. cause at the moment it doesn't sound right.

what should i do...

i'm also planning on getting rid of my two 15" W3s and getting a 15" XXX sub very soon.

another thing... what i'm looking for is the gut-wrenching bass, that makes you feel sick. no 'passive' bass like my ****ing 15s are putting out now...

i presume that's what SPL means, right? the gut-wrenching, powerful bass that you can feel as well as hear. well that's what i want.

in that case, should i get a 15" XXX or a 15" SE?

 
you can cut holes in your rear deck and put a grill over it. It can look pretty clean..that's what i have in my audi. And yes the XXX can give you that "gut wrenching" bass.

For the price of a XXX u can get 2 15" SE's. Both setups willl make ur ears explode given the right power and enclosure.

My BMW's trunk is a ***** also as its known for sealing off trunks as well. In addition it has a metal wall behind the seats. A ski-hole type thing behind the middle back seat was cut out. As well i did cutouts in my rear deck. This helped alot. along with the 50SqFt of Edead in the trunk.

xxx 15 baby...thats all the sub you need.it WILL get to the point where you need to turn it down cuz of headaches.if you want the bass u described..xxx15 is all i gotta say.

 
now with the two 15s i have at the moment, the whole trunk vibrates from the outside, as well as the sides of the car... however, no bass is going through to the cab... well hardly any... i can hear the subs walloping in the trunk, but i can't hear much bass... i know it's nothing wrong with the subs, people have said i need the bass to travel from the trunk to the cab... i have two 6x9s in the back deck (below the windshield)... what can i do to port it, which i guess will allow the bass to travel through?

Take the 6x9's out and put on a shitload of sound deadening....

 
ive heard some stories of people porting their subs through the rear deck...from what ive heard it worked wonderfully.

although i haerd about what they actually heard, so keep that in mind.
