Ok guyseses... I need help.

Ok, I am getting ready to start my install of the 16 8's...

BUT, I am going to deaden the hell out of everything first (and I got some other stuff to do)...

So, I'm looking for something to power all these subs with first (I like to get everything in order, then start)...

So, I'm looking at-

DD Z1

AB 150.1 (already have 1)

RE 72.2 (know nothing of these, just seen the rating)

IA 20.1 (don't know much about these)\

MA Audio HK802SX

Subs are dual 4... Would rather run at .5 ohm or 2 ohm to get power.

Looking for around 8 kw...

What would be the best/cheapest amp or combo of amps to make that power???

I would just run a couple more 150.1's but more than 2 would give me weird ohm-loadage...

Also, if anyone knows the prices for the amps listed, and the power output at the given impedances (.5 and 2 ohm), please, post it up!

So guys, what will get me 8 kw???

EDIT: Also, what ohm load do they do that power at???

So far, the cheapest option I'm looking at it 2 HK802SX's...

Also, this will be somewhat of a DD...

So, it will have to be stable on music, as well as burps...

Don't really wanna spend all the time rewiring 16 subs after a comp to listen to them on the way home...

The guy that makes them bought out Dana Audio.

What do the 400.1's put out at 1 ohm?

And how much do they run?

The same guy has a jbl Crown A6000Gti it will give you what you want also. I'd buy 1 or 2 large amps to save cost 4 20.1's will run you 2800 bucks give or take.

DAYUM.... I knew they were expensive, but I thought 1 would give me the power I wanted...

The GTI's aint cheap either...

So far the cheapest is the 802SX's... I know the 4000d's are current hogs, but are they???

Any other suggestions?

Also, I'd get a 40.1 over 4 20.1's anyway... Just waitin to see what they do at .5 ohm...

colosus, maximus, and goliaths arent over rated at all. 95% of the people here who used hifonics use entry level amps and compare them to other lines mid-to-top of the line gear. if they were overrated i guess they wouldnt be doing as well as they are in db drags. any combo of amps that will get you 8kw of REAL power will cost a good amount and make sure you electrical is up to snuff.
