Ok...Bought A Set of Focals 165V2 (6.5") but need amp??

if you are only running them get a nice 2 channel, if you re gonna be running 4 channels, i would suggest the eclipse amp in my sig

The Focals are going to be in the front. Like i said, i dont have an amp. I want to I want to add a set in the back IN THE FUTURE as well (though i dont know what). All i know is there are 2 speaker holes (1 in each of my doors) and 2 speakers in the rear windows area. LOL (as u can see im no audio expert). Thats my set up. So..i geuss i'll need a multichannel amp. 4 channel right???

Well you may or may not need a 4 channel amp; perhaps just a 2 channel might suffice your needs.

You can either amp the fronts with a 2 channel amp and run the 2 rear speakers off the head unit for rear fill / passengers.

Or you can get a 4 channel amp and amp all 4 speakers. Most people on here don't advocate this because it pulls away from the "at the concert front sound stage."

It all depends on your preference of whether or not you want to be in the middle of music, or have it blaring from the front, or hey who knows.. maybe you like it blaring from the back?

i would suggest the eclipse amp in my sig

x2 I loved my Eclipse PA5422. As mentioned above, I would be hesitant to spend too much/any money on rear fill. IMHO it distracts from the sound stage and besides, there are far better places to spend money (nice amps, subs, electrical, etc.)

hmm. so because rear speakers arent nearly as important as front speakers, it prob would be better to run my rear speakers through the HU And use a 2 channel amp for the 2 speakers in the front. Ok...Thanks for the advice.
