what does ohms mean , i see people talking about it all the time , for speakers and amps , i see 4 ohms 8 ohms on speakers , they might have more , is any better than the other and why , just trying to understand so i can get the best

ohms means resistence or work done by asystem. The less ohms the more

power(watts). ie: If your running like 600w at 4 ohm, then at 2 ohm it should

or nearly double like 1000w. When looking at amps. You need to know what ohm

their stable. The less ohm you wire subs at the more power subs will pull from

the amp. ie: if you wire a 2 ohm stable amp at 1 ohm the amp won't take it.

this is just a general look at it. Can get mor complicated.
