i swear we just got swamped with complete noobs who don't kno what they're talking about or understand basic terms we use and who want to be sppoon fed. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif
I don't have any problem with noobs....***** or any oobs for that matter. But these kids who kant even rite a complete sentence or learn how to spel or write good gramer or refuse to take it upon themselves to learn really fricken basic stuff or USE THE GOD FORSAKEN SEARCH really chap my *** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

that's what i mean. most want to be "spoon-fed". i offered bcae1.com to someone yesterday and told them to read around for a few weeks to get a basic understanding but he only looked for 2 mins. most of them just want a "system" then come in here, and when we try to get info, they don't have a freakin clue what we're askin. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

and each voice coil is 4 ohms, its the type X. i figured it out it has some jumpers on it and says parallel / series write on it for usss noobberrzzzzzzz

im willin to learn just i learn wit my handsss more than readin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

lol. that's true, but you gotta mix both in there so you have an idea of what you're reading, then go out and physically do it, to get familiar with it and a better understanding. at least you're willling! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

The DA6213 would be a poor choice for your sub then. That amp is designed to put out it's max power at 4 ohms. With a dual 4 ohm sub, you have a choice of 2 ohms (parallel wiring) or 8 ohms (series wiring). You can't run that amp at 2 ohms bridged, and if you run it at 8 ohms bridged you will only get like 425 watts out of it. It's fine to run it at 8 ohms, but it is certainly not ideal.

So you have a couple of choices, switch to a dual 2 ohm sub and keep the amp....or keep the sub and find an amp that puts out around 1000 watts rms at two ohms.

ouch wow thats such a heartbeaker //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif i dun got enuff money for another amp right now no way am i selling the sub i loove it (plus its brand new the amps used)

but it is possible to run a channel per coil at 2 ohms tho right ?? to give me about 800 watts

worst case senerio i can always ask for my bros fosgate ampp mono blah as much as i dun like rockford fosgate

To make that Type X sound good you need to give it atleast 1000w rms. Very power hungry sub. It's 4 ohm dvc. 1000w rms 3000w peak. I recommend getting you a descent mono amp to push that X. It's a very nice sub it deserves a good amp to go with it.

well i was now talking to my dad the electrician and he gave me an idea which might work, im not sure if u guys would know about this but correct me if im wrong

he told me that i can wire it series at 8 ohms *bridged* and add a resistor which would make to load too 4 ohms (took him a hour to explain it lol figuring im a son of an electician im really horrible at this stuff)

u think this would work out ok?

just cuz its peak is 3000 wAtts pea doesnt mean i got to overload the sub wit wattage to sound goood, i heard this thing on 600 watts mono n it was pounding strong

adding resistors inline will **** up alot of that power from the amp. then the sub will see even less power.

just swap it out with a dual 2 ohm driver and end this.
