Ohhh Sh*t. Put battery in trunk, now radio/amp doesnt work.. PICSSSS

grounding to the main battery or grounding it to the car is the same thing. but they say differant. might as well do what they say just to make sure.

they should test the batcap b4 shipping. the spark should just be left over power from that. ive had lots of sparks fly at the amp and its never hurt anything.

i have had a fuse pop on me and i couldnt even tell by looking at it. go ahead and replace all the fuses.

if the HU isnt turning on then of corse the amp wont turn on. some HU's fuses are inside, built into the RCA i think. they should all have a fuse somewhere.

change all the fuses. try changing the remote like they said. if its still not working then take out the batcap and hook everything up like it was b4.

oh.. good lord..that's what I was askin for!!!!...i thought I was just jumping it!!... to late now, I already unhooked everything....

Mounting that amp was the hardest part of the entire install cause the back of my trunk is all bent sheet-metal, all un-even... was almost impossible to get screws in there

oh lordy lordy... Well if the amps out, take it to the front of the car. Open the hood. Theres usually a lever inside the car under the dash. Pull this lever, the hood should pop open. Now get out of the car, go back to the front of the car. (Thats the part you see when driving) and open the hood all the way. sometimes theres another lever or latch under the hood to make it open all the way. Now, put a small wire from the battery Positive to the amps Positive, Put a small wire from the battery negitive to the amps negitive. Put a small wire from the amps positive to the amps remote terminal. The amp should turn on.

allllllllllllright...its not like that... a jumper means exactly what I drew in the picture... but I will try that.

can't get any clearer than that..

So. redo the Power, ground, and remote wires. And make sure they are correct. Do you have a dmm? You should have constant 12+ volts on the Power and 12+ on the Rem wire when the HU is on. Then make sure you have 0 ohms reading on the ground wire from the amp. Also check ground connections under the hood.
