Ohhh Sh*t. Put battery in trunk, now radio/amp doesnt work.. PICSSSS

Take a dmm and find out what your Remote lead voltage is?

Unhook everything and double check every Fuse in Line and connections.

Check all voltage from the front to the back with a DMM.

If your remote voltage is seriously low Try running a jumper off the positive wire on the amp over to the remote lead. See if the amp powers up.

yea see you do it to.. wtf!!..

I can't hook up the amp now cause my +power wire has a big 0GA. ring terminal on it now....I think im just gonna take it to a shop....This has been such a stressful day... Had to go back to Home Depot like 3 times cause I drew out the wrong cuts for 2 pieces, then they had 2-3 pieces like 1/8" off, so I had to correct those, then I had to go to my uncles house like 3 times to fix a few more pieces, then I had to go back for the 45Deg. cut for the corner, Then I had to mow the lawn, then I had to do some crap for my mom... Then as the sun is going down I finish the box (actually just put the top on it now), THENNNNNN,.... I probably fry my amp...

I tested Voltage at the front... getting fine power...tested it in the trunk...power is fine....I am just kinda pissed that if I fried the amp...the fuses didn't go first.

I g/g take a shower...feel like a scumbag

try jumping the amps pos to the rem. Does it turn on? If so, its in the HU. Check the power going to the hu . also does the HU have an inline fuse, and a fuse in the panel as well?

checked the radio fuse in the fuse panel...Don't know if the H.U. has a fuse..

Here is where im miffed..... The Amp - sparked when I hooked it up W/O the main power cable hooked up.... so IF it's the amp...why wouldnt the radio at least turn on???????????????

So you are saying take the amp + off the battery and touch it to Remote?

I'm outta here for the night guys...gotta go relieve some stress

The spark was probably left over power in the amps capacitors even if the main wasn't hooked up.. happens to me every once in a while. Sure + and - wasn't switched on amp?
yes...never took the connections outta the amp, just where they were going to, which was ground (which is now on the batt) and +... (which is now also on the batt)

just put a wire in the remote spot and touch the 12 volt power wire if the amp is still good it will light up
I told him that about 5 post's back. lol.

You need to try that and see if it powers up man.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Yes,

yes, A jumper about 6 inches long. from the amps positive terminal that has 12 volts, to the amps remote terminal. If it lights up its not the amp, then focus on the HU. And like Twisz said. The internal caps of the amp store power, so they will spark moderatly if the amp is disconnected and reconnected before the caps have time to run dow, (Discharge)
