Was listening to Rush yesterday. I agree with him once in a while but even though I mostly disagree I like to hear the other side of things. Was fine with it until he started making fun of the way Michelle Obama talks with her slight lisp. She has an overbite just like Emma Stone. Was really repulsed by him doing so. Think him calling Biden "bite me" is dumb. Find it interesting that he calls Michelle Obama, "Michelle My Belle". Limbaugh got jungle fever.

It's been like that ever since Obama, but it hasn't been so pathetic to start inventing names. Ironic given how everyone hates late night for doing the same to Trump. When I used to listen to Rush it was during Bush and ever since Obama took office I just found myself quickly turning it off. He would go into a ton of rants that were just whining for the sake of whining, often times about stuff he praised Bush for, and that was actually a large part of realizing how stupid and partisan conservatism actually was. They had all these principles that were simple and valid. They then just lost their shit on Obama because if he actually did 50% of what he said (he didn't) then presumably people would find it hard to come back to another conservative if they soaked in the socialism. I get the feeling it was in an effort to make people plug their ears on that side and between him and other media it certainly worked.

It's pretty funny to watch all the attack ads of calling him a socialist or saying Bernie had a big influence on him. Just more lies from Trump's circle, Joe's been a stubborn establishment hack for his whole life and he hasn't given progressives a single inch. His idea of a compromise was lowering the medicare age to 55 instead of medicare for all lol... Then he even back-tracked from that and made it 60 on the DNC platform. He's also slowly distancing himself from medicare for all "who want it" which is for purely corporate reasons. Originally it was going to be a moment for the industry to end this m4a business altogether for generations by pushing sick people on to the government plan and making a comparison basically of how sick people cost more to insure than healthy people to show they can do it cheaper (bullshit according to every study), but now with so many people out of work they're scared it'll actually work as intended and poor but healthy people will join also, so they want to wait for the unemployment numbers to go down first.
I actually have a problem with any sort of insurance. I think it should be MY choice if I want car insurance, home insurance, or health insurance. I do not like the government telling me that I HAVE to have insurance at all. Didn't like Biden as the pick, I think we need younger people in D.C. People Like AOC. Buttigieg was my guy. I think a lot of people are saying they will vote for Biden because they are anti trump. I think that will change. I wont be surprised if trump wins. After 2016 nothing will surprise me.

Right, because what is insurance that's required if not just subsidizing other people's money for your donors' industry? I completely understand the libertarian viewpoint on it, but the issue of medicare is an issue of divided interests vs consolidated interests. There's more money in the medical field than in the pocket of poor people right now and hospitals are the weakest link in the strong-arm competition. I've never seen an insurance company strong-arm a pharmaceutical, but every single year our hospitals here go through a song and dance with blue cross blue shield and united. The smaller hospitals pay more than the larger ones and when they refuse to not give them the prices they want they'll walk with all of their subscribers as collateral. Basically capitalism has run rampant on this industry, they'll only ever bark up the tree that's scared of them, pharmaceuticals are multinational billion dollar businesses with the financial backing of multiple governments. They're going to go after hospitals instead and where does that leave our poor communities that have hospitals where the bill will not be paid in the end? You can start to see why hospitals are busing people to another city instead of treating them.
As fucked up as it is, the hospital isn't in the business of chasing debt and the collection agencies are lining up in a long line to pay 3 cents a dollar for fresh debt. Everyone who shouldn't benefit does and everyone who should benefit suffers. Almost everyone working part time is vulnerable to an 8k ambulance ride bill any time they have a medical emergency, it's no wonder that a large portion of bankruptcies are from medical debt. People who are on low income medicare are actually better off than someone with two part time jobs, so you'd think conservatives would want to spread the benefits so it no longer "incentivizes laziness."
Car insurance laws I think are just a way for rich people to feel safe from all these poor people driving around next to their lambos. At least they know if their paint gets scratched they'll be able to get money out of them knowing they're mandated by law to have insurance. In terms of poor people the claims are discouraged by deductibles. The middle class still benefits from insurance, but even that can depend on the state. Each one is in a different stage of bullshit with their rates. Michigan holy crap, the worst insurance rates I've ever seen. My fiance and I took ownership of one of her dad's vehicles (in Michigan) so that the insurance would be significantly cheaper for him.
Don't even get me started on Parma Inc bro. Shit pisses me off. I believe in healthcare for all. I just think they need to do a better job of paying for it. There is SOOOOO much waste in this country that it's insane. Most people are clueless, the way they are with everything. My thing is equal rights for all. Healthcare for all. Education for all, and for fucks sake, pay the teachers more money. I think they should make three times what they make. This, "Dems are gonna take our guns", is garbage. Nobody's taking my guns and I aint repulican. I honestly don't understand how ANYONE could vote for trump. Then again I don't understand why people are ignorant bigots.
