Hmmph.I had this very long drawn-out reply typed out and it ended up exceeding the maximum individual post character limit.

No matter how much I complain it still doesn't change (as evidenced by past goings-on) so....there it is.

I agree, especially when the mods, specifically ngsm, get away with a ton of post dumping and just create a generally bad atmosphere for new people...people ask simple noobish questions and you deliberately slam on them and have probably turned many people away from this site. ok for instance that feedback thread that got deleted because i was too "rude and hateful" if the feedback thread was for some noob, i doubt he would've deleted it.

then you have have this dude banned for profiting off the site, when another poster has his box building company advertised in his sig, which is more clearly profiting then showrides, but he seems more popular and liked then showrides.

you know, here;s the problem. i don't care. look at my post count and join date. 6 years, ~3500 posts. i quit caring so long ago, it's not worth the effort to look up and point out the double standard. not for me anyway.

the reason why i even started posting in this thread is because of the crying (sorry ice, prowler) of a few people over what has simply become the norm here. i jsut wanted to point out that regardless of the outcry, it's not changing. hence the reason i only have 3500 posts. i bit(hed one time too. i've even lost my mod status at ssa once for being outspoken, lol.

no, the truth is, that without ALL the mods working together, on the same page, and in an honest effort, this place is too far gone. ngsm, while yoru efforts are noble, so where mike's so long ago when he was called a goodietooshoes, for lack of a better word. and i call many, if not all the mods here friends.

and another thing. even if the mods decided to do the right thing, which IIRC, has actually been tried, teh general forum throws a fit, creates 10,000 bullshit threads about it and demands a change. so where, how do the mods win?

again, without all the mods being on the same page, without goob actually giving a shit, this forum is beyond saving. i think that the few who speak out should be allowed to do just that. i also think , and this is what cost me over at ssa, that no mod is above anyone else. if a mod screws up, they need to eat their crow just as much as anyone.

long story short, this forum needs an enema. but it isn't going to happen. maybe bits and pieces, but for the most part..

Since you guys can't read the backroom, you don't know what goes on back there- if goob were to fix the voting, or screw the votes and just pick his own- he wouldn't have picked me- I've had some pretty nasty things to say about him in the backroom, and he's seen them, and responded to them- I doubt I'm a favorite of his- yet I've been 'voted' in for every single vote, except for one, which I withdrew myself from. I was one of the original moderators elected, and like I said, I've been 'elected' every single time- and I don't kiss anyones ***.

Well I don't have time to go find specific examples (about to go take the ACT for the 3rd time [gotta get that 30]) but I remember one thread in perticular a new kid asked a fairly dumb yet reasonable question and instead of just the usual sarcastic yet helpful response. You told him to kill himself. How does that benefit the forum and how we take on new people? You wonder why all the 06'ers or 07'ers are so gay...well I think the veterans here have a hand in making them that way. Newbies get a bad image of this place when their first couple threads are responded to with a ton of hateful posts. I tell people to kill themselves (sarcastically I might add) when the repost a thread (and I say it in the delete massage)... or when they blatantly violate a rule in effect (again in the delete message)... or when they start out negatively...
