I know this isn't really all that Old school but I think it is pretty rare.

I see them show up on ebay once in a while. I was browsing craigslist a couple days ago and noticed a post that just said 1100 Watt amp. The ad had no pictures but it stated it was for a RF Power 1100a2. I have always wanted one of these amps because for some reason a large 2channel seems cooler to me than a Mono class D.

Best part of the story......I gave 120bucks for it!!!

Paid 65 Dollars at a yard sale for both PPI's (Mint except for a minor scuff on the pc275) and a MTX Thunder 7500 12" , Traded the sub away for a Hifonics Titan TX1005D , my uncle just sold the hifonics for 175 and bought my Thunder 801d from me for 150 (FYI i only paid 70 for the thunder 801d in mint condition). We are definetly bargain hunters when it comes to good equipment. LOL

nice amp...most quality class ab amps are cleaner than the class D amps

I bought this for $75 BNIB-

Original retail was $800 in the late 90's.

Thanks man! Heck yeah, I have read that this baby likes to eat some current too, like most big A/B's! Guess I better get my electrical up to par.

I am thinking about running the 1100a2 and the 225.2 I have together in my old 82 Bonneville.

Don't know what speakers yet, though.....
