I have a nice collection of first Gen Fosgate Amps EQ's and drivers...I was thinking about getting rid of them on ebay....These are from the 80's.....

I refinished my Punch 75's heatsink. I'm sure some of you dislike the idea of doing stuff like that, but I want muh ugly amps to b purdy.

Little sucker looks as good as new now.

I'm like you I hate seeing abused amps....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
Meh, it had just been well used and time had taken its toll. It's not a problem anymore. It looks as good as new now.

I was thinking of replacing all the wiring too, man. You think that'd be okay? I've never really done this before, but I can handle a bit of soldering...

if you can match gauge and color I would...its not all original now..even though maybe just as nice...so if done right it won't hurt the value any....
It wasn't a big investment and I'm obviously not so worried about it retaining value with the collector crowd. If that was the case, I would've never sanded it down and baked new paint onto the heatsink. This is basically a pet project at this point. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I was thinking of replacing the wiring with some expensive stuff and adding tech flex & nice connectors too. Basically, I want this amp to look brand new when I'm finished with it.

Having a vinyl decal of all the lettering on the amp made has crossed my mind as well. If I do that, I can resurface the back plate and keep all the original text.

Tons of places online that sell them man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Just type in the part number on the cap.

You are gonna make this amp into a beautiful beast!
